I joined the Department of Humanities at Villanova University in August 2007 after completing my Ph.D. at the University of Virginia in 2006 and holding a visiting position at The College of William & Mary in Spring 2007.  I am an architectural historian and specialize in nineteenth and twentieth-century American architecture.

As a member of an interdisciplinary department concerned about larger questions of the human person, I use architecture as a means to investigate the role of religion in higher education.  I am particularly concerned about the intersection of architecture, science, and religion.

I was a guest blogger for The Chronicle of Higher Education's Buildings & Grounds Blog in October 2008.  Please click here for my posts on religious architecture on the campus.
