Economics of Latin America and the Caribbean

Spring 2010

Course Description:

This course begins with an overview of the historical economic forces that have shaped the economies south of the US border. Select models and issues of economic development, trade and systems will be introduced and discussed. At least one national case study will be presented. The future of regional economic cooperation and national socio-economic progress will be explored.

Tuesday, April 20th: Term paper due: hand in Writing Center rough draft along with the final version. One letter grade penalty if handed in after this day.

Monday, May 3rd: Final exam; 8:00 - 10:30

You may come to the Writing Center at any point in your writing process. Bring an outline, rough draft, an assignment or just your ideas. We'll work with you from where you are; individually and at your own pace.
